Hello!
Welcome to Wicked Type. My name is Cameron Sinclaire and I’m an avid book lover and creative writer. This is my little corner of the world where I come to connect, express, share, create, journal, rant, rave, and write.
I created this blog to inspire creativity, to motivate and encourage. But also to geek out over books. I spend a lot of time staring at empty word documents, more time than I’d like to admit. — and disappearing into the nearest book. My favorite genre to read (and write) is YA fantasy, though I’m ~slowly~ starting to branch out and try new things.
I have a tendency to hoard books and writing journals — empty writing journals, I might add — and consult with my cat before making any life decisions.
In May of 2020, I graduated from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth with a Bachelor’s Degree in English: Writing, Rhetoric & Communications. I’m currently working as a freelance journalist for my local newspaper, which I absolutely love.
I grew up in eastern Massachusetts where I spent many summers by the ocean and countless winters buried beneath six feet of snow. I’ve always loved to write, but only recently started considering myself a writer.
I’m currently pursuing my master’s degree at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in the Professional Writing Program, where I’ll be working as a tutor and student professor, teaching Technical Communications.

One of the most important lessons I’ve learned in life is to never stop learning and never stop writing.
